Current Updates

Dianna Effner: Progress report as of April 10, 2019:  Last year she sent out "invitations to order" to her wait list at that time.  In mid July she got over 200 orders.  She is less than half way through these orders.  Progress has been slowed at various times for various reasons and Dianna does not want to over-commit to orders so as not to disappoint anyone, but she is painting as many as she can as often as she can.

Geri Uribe:  Geri's order list is caught up and she is taking orders by invitation only so as not to become overwhelmed with orders.  She has a wait list of about 8-10 mos.

Lee-Anne Carpenter:   As of May 28th , I am currently working on orders promised in May, June and July 2019 so I am actually ahead of time.
My wait list us out to May 2021. So if you were to put your name down today, your doll would be painted in May of 2021.

Lana Dobbs: See important note below. PLEASE NOTE:  Lana has a very hard time with her internet access.  If you have an urgent question concerning your order, please CALL her.  Her phone number is available under the contact information at her website.

Nelly Valentino:  Latest update on Nelly's site:  working on orders from the first week of Feb. 2017.

Pat Green:  Feb 25, 2017: Pat is working on August/September 2015 orders.

Magalie Dawson:

As of March 7, 2019:  Magalie is painting dolls ordered in April of last year, so she is ahead of schedule.  Her waitlist is open.  If you were to get on it now, you'd likely get your doll in July of next year.

Magalie books 12 months' worth of orders.  As she fulfills a month of orders, she will contact collectors on her waiting list to have them place an order.  The wait time is about a year from when you place your order, so be sure to get your name on her waiting list! The link to sign up is located on this page:

Other artists: please send me a message if you want me to post an update for you, too.

Everyone, please remember our artists are working as fast as they can on dolls and please be patient!  Each one is a true work of art and art takes time.

A note from Dianna about her current orders....

Hello Collectors

Regretfully many collectors have been waiting a very long time for their dolls.  The problem in my case is the number of orders and my limited time to paint.  In April this year I was already a year behind.  Then I lost almost 4 months due to illness and other obligations.  I am just now getting back on track with filling orders but my time for painting is still limited.   I can paint 6-8 dolls a week on an average week.

In April of 2013 we opened the floodgates and I started taking orders again after having stopped for a while.  We got a glut of orders in April and May and at some point I had to stop taking orders again.  This past April I was working on April 2013 orders and I was about a year behind.  For the rest of the spring and summer very little painting got done due to the factors I mentioned before.  When I started painting again recently I was still working on April 2013 and nearly 18 months behind.  I have just painted the last April 2013 order and I am starting on May of 2013.  The May 2013 list is very long and will take me several weeks to complete.  If anyone ordered a doll before April 2013 and has not heard from us, please contact us.

The good news is that after May we have just a few orders each month and I should be able to catch up fairly rapidly.  I will post an update when I start on the next month of orders,  June 2013.  I will post again with each new month.  Maybe this will help collectors who are waiting have an idea when to expect their doll and they won't have to Email us.  We have been spending a lot of time each day answering emails.

If you are waiting for a doll please know that we care and we are doing our best.  We greatly appreciate your continued patience.

Your Devoted Doll Artiste,

Dianna Effner

  • Thank you for the update, and for not giving up on your demanding public! It must seem overwhelming at times, all those orders waiting to be filled!! Although I don't currently have a doll on order from you, personally, I do have one on order from Joyce. And I've been looking at your site again, and thinking, maybe an Asian girl next.... ;-)

By the way, I absolutely LOVE my Maisie that your painted for me over a year ago. My heart almost stopped when I opened that box, she is SO beautiful!! She is featured in my recent swap story, along with Cora and Delaney (formerly Lyra).

  • I thank you too...and deeply appreciate all your hard work....the painting..the website....the conventions...answering emails...I can't imagine how busy your days must be. Blessings!!
